Photographing the Seasons
Louise Sayers

I am a photographer living in the Cévennes, a remote and rugged region of Southern France. A place of sweet chestnut and ancient beech forests, gorges of limestone and granite outcrops, valleys of perfumed heather and olive trees. My photographs are inspired by these dramatic landscapes and infused with nature’s rich colour palette.
Speckles of sunlight on a single flower, the parting of clouds after a rain storm. Seeing these shifts of light and deepening shadows, hearing a rustle of leaves in the wind, instils a feeling of well-being. My hope is to express these moments of connection through my art.
